Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to present the impact of customs compliance on the economic and legal security of an international trade in goods company. The basic areas of customs risk, its most common sources as well as the risk management process in the company are described. Moreover, the role of the Authorised Economic Operator status in the minimization of customs risk is discussed.
