Summary/Abstract: This article presents the way enterprises attempt to foster the development of inter-organizational cooperation, especially through the use of soft management including, among other things, intellectual capital and becoming agile. The thesis of article is: The development of inter-organizational cooperation fosters the creation and development of agile enterprises. The task of article is: The one of ways of meeting the requirements of contemporary times is to implement the agile concept in which fundamental role plays intellectual capital and others soft management components. The article analyses the research in 231 enterprises operating in Podkarpackie Voivodeship in Poland. The questionnaire includes questions concerning inter-organizational cooperation between the surveyed companies and questions concerning the agile problems. In the course of research and after completion new phenomena had been discovered which the author decided to analyze and describe in the light of postpostmodernism. The study of 200 enterprises in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship indicates that about 20 percent of surveyed companies intensively work on the improvement of competitiveness. Empirical studies show that companies that cooperate with each other in entrepreneurial associations, inter-organizational networks or clusters may achieve better results much faster than others than do not cooperate.
