Summary/Abstract: This article tackles the question who makes of the street a social space that offers them possibilities of adaptation. The problem raised here is that of adaptive transaction and the conditions of an effective helping relation by virtue of this reality of the street, no longer a physical space but having become an environment that sustains and offers intra and inter psychic balance to its subjects. Following the comprehensive approach, the article studies two cases of adolescents in the street identified in a context of listening and in the Edimar Home located in Yaoundé in Cameroon through the typical sampling technique (Depelteau, 2003). From the instruments of data collection such as the survey questionnaire and the observation table data collected passed through structural analysis. The results demonstrate that the street constitutes a form of social construct for these subjects who find in it the searched for homeostasis. Strategies are mobilized by them to overcome aversive situations. Nevertheless, it remains true as mentioned by Tchombe and al. (2001) that finding the comfort and warmth proper to the family environment is an actual difficulty.
