Civil Protection by The Polish Armed Forces During Defense Operations with Particular Emphasis on the Tasks of the Territorial Defense Forces

Summary/Abstract: The article presents legal, procedural and organizational conditions related to the protection of the population during military operations. In the first part of the paper, the main threats and challenges for the Polished Armed Forces were described. Due to the current Polish doctrines and regulations, as well as with reference to the doctrine announced by W. Gerasimow, the focus was on defense and non-military activities (below the threshold of war). At the end of the paper, particular attention was paid to the role and tasks of the Territorial Defense Forces as a newly created type of armed forces in Poland.
