Summary/Abstract: The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of the application of a funding model to support the development of micro and small enterprises (MSES) in Baja California, starting from the hypothesis that the enterprise undertakes program (PEE) has impacted positively the development of MSES in the city of Mexicali, Baja California. To date there is information concerning the level of impact of public funding made available by the PEE of the Government of the State of Baja California on MSES in the city of Mexicali, B.C. This assessment will provide information to the State of the art on the relationship between public financing, the productive activity and the generation of employment. To assess the impact of the financing of microenterprises that were supported in 2013, applied regression of cross section taking the employment generated and as independent variables assigned finance and sales with information obtained from 60 companies registered as dependent variable. Finally it is concluded that a greater amount assigned to the company, the effect on employment grows to the extent that micro-enterprises obtained higher sales, had a greater capacity for employment.
