The legal security of citizens within the activity of Citizens Advice Bureaux

Summary/Abstract: In building the security of individual citizens, social groups, and democratic society in general, an increasingly important role is played not only by the public authorities and their subordinate institutions, but also by non-state actors, in particular NGOs. The aim of this study is to define the concept of the “legal security of citizens”, to show the importance of NGOs in building this security on the basis of the activity of a network of Citizens Advice Bureaux (BPO), and finally to analyse the demand for civil and legal counseling services on the basis of data on contacts with the clients of the Krakow Citizens Advice Bureau (BPO).
