THE STICHERA TO ST. PROPHЕT ELIJAH

Summary/Abstract: The paper studies the Repertory of the Stichera in the Services for the Priphet Elijah in the four Eastern Slavic and nine South Slavic Manuscripts (Menaions) of the 11th –15 th Cent. where eight non-original (translated) hymns as well thirteen original hymns are included. In the original Stichera with incipit ѥгда небеса възрадоваше сѧ... (Небеса възрадоваше сѧ...) in the MSS Sin 25 one sign and in the F.n.I.72 two signs of thita (») are attested.The Hymnographical Material devoted to the Prophet Elijah is presented by the author in Encyclopeadia Slavica Sanctorum.
