Summary/Abstract: Intelligent Transport Systems are solutions that use a variety of technologies – IT, telecommunications, automatic, measurement and management techniques used in transport to protect the lives of road users (increase safety in transport), increase transport system efficiency (shorten travel time) and protect environmental resources natural (eliminating pollution, noise). The aim of the article is the theoretical-empirical presentation of ITS as one of the elements of managing the logistics of the future in the city. In the theoretical part of the work presented, in broad terms, the concept of the transport system (defining: transport, road transport in the city and its division, transport system and its role) and the Intelligent Transport System of the city (definition, purpose, scope of services and benefits. In the practical part of the work presented an assessment of the implementation of products, of project – Intelligent Transport System – ITS Wrocław (project characteristics, survey on the assessment of the implementation of the products, of project – Intelligent Transport System – ITS Wrocław from the point of view of the user of the Wrocław city transport system).
