Summary/Abstract: Trying to predict the future in the area of labor demand is an important element of development policy that allows regions to adjust to intensive economic changes and to be competitive on the domestic and global market. The efficiency of those efforts requires one to implement and improve a methodology of identifying the professions of the future. The analyses carried out in Podlaskie Voivodeship are aimed at creating a regional model for assessing the future demand for work in the regional economy. In the context of global trends, current methods require further development and refinement.
