Summary/Abstract: Inflow of foreign direct investment can stimulate economic development of a region. Potential investment attractiveness of 16 Poland’s provinces was studied with the implementation of selected methods of taxonomic research in order to diagnose the position of Silesia province in comparison to other provinces of Poland. Research proved a relatively high potential investment attractiveness of Silesia province in both 2010 and 2015. Crucial trumps of Silesia province included well developed technical and social infrastructure, high level of regional market absorptiveness as well as economic development.
