Summary/Abstract: The subject of the publication is the inventory of Piotrkow Castle of 1869 compiled by Leon Rzeczniowski. The document is an important resource on the history of one of the most precious historic monuments of 16th century Polish architecture. Soon after the inventory was completed, the castle was thoroughly rebuilt in compliance with the orders of the Russian authorities.
