Summary/Abstract: This article presents results of research focused on opinions of polish tourist guides about the idea opening access to their job. The author (on grounds of interviewed IDIs) presents arguments of supporters and opponents of deregulation and appraised possibilities to make “collective reaction” in this matter. The author shows examples of foreign tourist services markets and results of surveys (about deregulation). Moreover, he presents places of polish tourist agents on scales of social positions.
