Summary/Abstract: The treatment of collocations in bilingual German–Italian and Italian–German dictionaries. This paper shows how collocations are treated in the general bilingual German–Italian and Italian–German dictionaries used in Italy. Some definitions and classifications of collocations are given in the first part of the paper, while the second part provides a targeted comparative analysis of the following three dictionaries: Il Dizionario di Tedesco (2001¹, 20092, 2014³), Il Sansoni tedesco. Dizionario Deutsch - Italienisch, Italiano - Tedesco (20066), Il nuovo DIT Paravia. Il dizionario tedesco - italiano, italiano - tedesco (20084). This clearly demonstrates that only the Dizionario di Tedesco deals with collocations adequately, highlighting collocates for each meaning of the lemmas considered, and clearly distinguishing collocations from the expressions listed in the phraseological section.
