Summary/Abstract: Homelessness is a social phenomenon which is now faced by residents of medium and large cities around the world. Th e issue of homelessness raises many questions related to the ways of preventing the situation of a lack of home, as well as creating constructive solutions that will allow the homeless to return to a dignified life in society. The considerations in this text on homelessness are an attempt to answer the following questions: How to create a help environment for people without a home wisely? What is the most important thing in helping? How can I not addict myself to the person I am helping? How to embrace the help of the whole person? In a word: how to create power when we give help? The answers to these and other questions were provided by practitioners who, through their activities in various assistance organizations in Krakow, work with homeless people on a daily basis.
