Summary/Abstract: The different aspects of old age and aging are considered in this article. The main characteristics of the process of aging and individual differences in the speed of this process are described from the viewpoints of social psychology and psychophysiology. In addition, psychological profiles of old people and characteristics of their behaviour are analysed.
