Summary/Abstract: ,,Tribunism” is a concept always used by the researchers of modern history of Transylvania, who investigated the impact that the different newspapers who had the name ,,Tribuna” had over the public opinion from the last two decades ot the XIXth century and first ones of the XXth one. Founded in Sibiu, in 1884, ,,Tribuna” newspaper was the publication which coagulated near it all the Romanian political elites and militated against the Latinist exaggerations from the Romanian Language, but also for the collection and publication of Romanian popular creations. The text of this conference aim is to realize an incursion in the history of this Transylvanian publication, which, for a while, was the official journal of the Romanian National Party from Transylvania. This information is filled by presenting the bio-bibliographical profile of the personalities who, during the time, have identified their destinies with ,,Tribuna” (like Ioan Slavici, Ioan Lupaş, Octavian Goga, Onisifor Ghibu etc.). All these, to show that ,,Tribuna” newspaper, through its articles published and the activity of its editors, have offered the cultural, political and ideological bases of the realization of Great Union from 1918.
