Summary/Abstract: In the difficult years of the First World War, the Orthodox and Greek-Catholic Church of Hunedoara also made its own sacrifice: slaughtered and destroyed churches, priests deported, enrolled on the front or forced to leave wandering beyond the Carpathians. But the great day of the Union came! On 1st of December 1918, about 20.000 peoples from Hunedora County, headed by their priests, cried out to Aba-Iulia in one voice: ,,We want to unite with the Romanian Kingdom!”. Without claiming exhaustiveness, the present approach aims to present, in alphabetical order and in the form of medallions, the biographies of the Orthodox and Greek-Catholic priest from Hunedoara participant at the Great Assembly from Alba-Iulia, as officials.
