Summary/Abstract: The chapter focuses on the right to public information and the role of media in making public life transparent. With a reference to its main goals and objectives the legal basis for the access to public information are being presented. Due to the fact that regulations on the access to public information are diffi cult to interpret, the emphasis is being put on the some useful examples from the judicature.
