Summary/Abstract: This article is to present the results of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the press materials about martial law in Poland published by “The Times” between 14 and 24 December 1981. The study aims at answering the following questions: Which events and issues related to the martial law were reported? What was the stance of “The Times” on the imposition of the martial law?
