Summary/Abstract: The question about what makes Shakespeare’s texts such good tools forunderstanding our own experience of the world is addressed by an analysis of somepassages in Macbeth based on the notions of diegesis, mimesis and deconstruction.The main argument is that textual aporias mirror our contradictory and ambiguousreactions to the real world.
