Summary/Abstract: Jan Amos Komensky was an outstanding Czech thinker. We want to analyse his foundations of theoretical concepts of the idea of universal education. In the present times of turbulence in the world of human values, it is worth recalling that the Czech philosopher advocated that values shape the personality of a human being.
