Summary/Abstract: Facebook has become a prevalent means of interaction between university students and their teachers. In this paper, the author argues that this informal connection, although seemingly unavoidable in today’s technological context, may have lasting repercussions on the teachers’ role in the classroom and the way their relationship with the students develops.
