Summary/Abstract: The National Library has decided to discontinue development of its own subject headings and to replace it with a new tool for a content description – The National Library Descriptors. According to the National Library’s concept, new design of a IR query language corresponds with changes in the bibliographic description. ISBD rules are supplemented by the elements of the RDA standard. The catalog is treated as a relational database based on the FRBR model, which fits into the network paradigm, and allows for a refine search with citation order. National Library Descriptors Vocabulary is based on the vocabulary of National Library Subject Headings. The Federation of the Church Libraries FIDES has decided to use NLD
