At the bulgarian community in Brazil

Summary/Abstract: The author shares his experience of a visit to the descendants of the Bessarabian Bulgarians in Brazil. Ten thousand Bulgarians took the long trans-Atlantic way to South American side in 1926 and formed there a big Bulgarian diaspora. Describes his meetings with the leadership and activists of the Cultural Association of the Bulgarian people in Brazil, as well as meetings with local Bulgarians. The author tells about his visit to the An¬chiete Island, where around two thousand Bulgarians and Gagauz have been exiled because of the revolt, caused due to their dissatisfaction with the con-ditions of their arrangement in the new place.
