Summary/Abstract: Opportunities of symbiosis in religious education and music in evangelical kindergartens of Hungary. In our knowledge-based society the educational institutions representing alternative pedagogical trends are gaining ground, whose performance- centered approach emphasizes the freedom of the individual and the importance of individual achievements against the community. We must say that ecclesiastical educational institutions, including kindergartens, have been in a competitive position. The Evangelical Church was also named after the Bach singing church. There are 26 evangelical kindergartens in Hungary. One way to advance evangelical kindergartens is through the promotion of the personality development effect of music and the value mediation. The purpose of my research is to compare the aspirations of institutions with the analysis of the pedagogical programs of evangelical kindergartens and examine the musical competences of kindergarten teachers in the light of the services. (Questionnaire research), as well as assessing and analyzing the relationship between the parents of the children of our children and the expectations of the kindergarten. Based on the summed results we can say that what we have to do is to preserve, further develop or renew existing traditions of Lutheran communities from a strategic point of view, so that institutions can keep up with today’s challenges.
