Summary/Abstract: The changing social reality evokes conflicts of values in and towards universities. They face a dilemma: what is their mission today? How to fulfill your role to maintain university values? This article points to those elements of social reality which – according to the author of the article – significantly determine the fulfillment of their role and mission.
