Summary/Abstract: The current characteristics of the security environment and their trend of development require a multilevel and multidimensional security approach: on the one hand individual, group, state and group of states levels, and on the other military, political, economic, social, cultural and environmental dimensions. This paper is an analysis of the theoretical framework specific to security studies, based on the premise that security and insecurity are coexisting conditions and they do not preclude each other.
