THE BATTLE FOR UKRAINE. A SHEER TRUTH WITH TANGLED GEOMETRIES

Summary/Abstract: After the Ukraine’s withdrawal from signing the Agreement in Vilnius, a part of the population of this country, which represents the tense atmosphere of our neighbours from the North and South-East, has started the street riots and has erected the barricades against President Viktor Yanukovych and his team. The discretionary power in Kiev has responded, making use of the firearms. However, despite the 80 people who were killed and the hundreds of casualties among the protesters, the voice of the street did not cease. The people who took to the streets claimed the freedom of this millennium’s beginning and also their right to be consulted, listened to and to choose their own fate. And they finally won. The geopolitical battle for Ukraine – if it was a real battle – was won by those protesting in the street. We will see about that.
