Summary/Abstract: The subject of research is the development of the investment strategy of the Lombard institutions. The main purpose of the article is justification of the methodological approach concerning the mechanism of formation of investment strategy of the Lombard institutions in a market economy. The objective of the article is to study the nature of the investment strategy of the Lombard institutions, principles, and stages of development of the investment strategy of the Lombards. The methodological basis of the article is based on General scientific methods of cognition, the conceptual provisions of the modern economic theories. The results of the work. The stages of investment strategy Lombard institutions in modern terms, consider the implementation of the main directions of Lombard facility. Conclusions: the Investment process is closely connected with the development strategy of the pawnshop and is its integral part. A conceptual model of the strategic plan of the pawnshop gives you the ability to define steps in the development of the strategic plan activities. One of the possible tools the first stage of strategic planning may serve as a so-called SWOT-analysis. The main stages of formation of the investment strategy of the Lombard are: the definition of the period of formation of the investment strategy formation of strategic purposes of investment activity, development of the most effective ways to implement the strategic objectives of investment activities, the specification of the investment strategy for the periods of implementation of the investment strategy.
