Summary/Abstract: The end of Cold War favored the growth of economic sector, to the detriment of military one, specific to bipolar world and ideological conflict that characterized the twentieth century. This aspect had led to a reorientation of the priorities of intelligence services, after which the role and importance of economic intelligence community have been reconsidered. In the globalized economy, states are forced to pay attention to their economic interests and to identify ways to protect and promote them. Economic intelligence is one of the main tools that states are using to ensure economic security.
