Summary/Abstract: As regards the institution, "duration of the defendant's preventive arrest in the course of criminal prosecution", the new Code of Criminal Procedure took over the provisions of the previous Code of Criminal Procedure (1969). The authors analyze the above-mentioned institution, also presenting some comparative law references.
