Summary/Abstract: Since then, it took forty years. Forty years. There is no longer a country where it was possible to publish a monograph about Paul Signac at Voenizdat. And there is no Voenizdat itself. And who now remembers about the great-grandson of Colonel Morel? And the galoshe as an artifact was pushed by notorious gadgets. No matter how many likes you give, there is no more Leningrad. Saint-Petersburg is its repost. Hirsches, Scopuses and grants — these are heroes of our time. Moreover, prolongation is unacceptable. However, the Past of two decades ago invariably rises with the banners “French landscape painting” and “the art of France”. And eternally at the University, in the city and everywhere you can hear: “Hello, Nina Nikolaevna!”
