Summary/Abstract: In contemporary times many families feel lonely and face various types of crisis. Their faith in the presence of Christ in the Sacrament of Marriage is weakened and thus it makes it more difficult for them to create a relationship and may cause disappointment and discouragement in the undertaken new way of life. Therefore, one of the initiatives of the Church is to help spouses and parents to cope with the problems through pastoral care which aims at accompanying them in growing in their mutual love and in living the Gospel. Pastoral accompaniment can involve gathering of married couples and families, non-member families as well as mixed marriages of different religious affiliation into Catholic associations. These kinds of pastoral actions should contribute to creating a marriage and family-friendly environment in the parish.
