Summary/Abstract: The characteristics of contemporary Polish youth were carried out in the context of system transformation in Poland after 1989. The importance of institutional and cultural pluralism was pointed out. The dominant tendency, in the transformation of religiosity and morality of the young generation, is selectivity. Among many young people, individualism and ethical relativism are consolidated. Pastoral care of the youth pointed to appreciation of the pastoral care of families, development of religious groups and catechesis inspired by the idea of a catechumenate.
