PRICE POLICIES SUITED TO THE CURRENT ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL CRISIS. THE ROLE OF INTANGIBLE ASSETS

Summary/Abstract: This work presents and elaborates on main price calculation methods and desirable corporate policies aiming to counter the bad effects of the current economic and financial crisis, the international capitalist system crisis (Occupy Wall Street as a global phenomenon) and geopolitical threats. A strong emphasis should be placed on cash-flow increase and continuity methods (such as Leads & Lags), which is more important than profit under the circumstances. At the same time, this is the right period for the company to be cleaned up of redundant assets, slow moving inventories, surplus staff, etc. A special care should be shown to the relations with the banks, for better, safer, prompter and more adequate financings, borrowings, guarantees and other bank operations.A special attention is granted to the role of intangible assets (human capital, brevets, licences, brands, exclusive distribution agreements, know-how, goodwill, location, data bases, software) in supporting the anti-crisis corporate policies (survival, cost reduction, increase of revenue, profit, productivity and effectiveness etc.).
