THE BREXIT IMPACT ON REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS

Summary/Abstract: British decision to leave the European Union has questioned not only the current political, economic and financial international order, but also the regional and international security agreements. The UK-UE divorce is a severe blow to the cohesion of the West and to the international liberal order. The supporters and the opponents of globalisations have the same question: if the EU can be split, why not NATO? In this article, the aim is to highlight, from a comparative perspective, oppinions regarding Brexit geopolitical impact, its implications on the future of NATO and on the Security and Defence Policy of the EU.
