Full Edition of Ringelblum Archive Documents

Summary/Abstract: One of the most important archives concerning the Holocaust, known as the Ringelblum Archive, was compiled in the Warsaw Ghetto in the years 1940-1943 by a team called „Oneg Shabat”, formed by Dr Emanuel Ringelblum, a historian and civic activist. The archive, hidden in the Ghetto, was discovered in 1946 and 1950 and has been part of the collections of the Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw. In 1997 work began on full scientific edition of Ringelblum Archive in Polish began. The publication of the materials is to be completed in 2018. The full Archiwum Ringelbluma. Konspiracyjne Archiwum Getta Warszawy series will include 36 parts in 39 volumes. Based on the Polish edition, an English version is also being prepared, the first volume of which already appeared in 2017.
