Summary/Abstract: This research tested the social entrepreneurial intention model. The research was conducted on a sample of 786 students, 384 of them undertaking entrepreneurial and 402 psychosocial studies. Using hierarchical regression analysis, the theoretical model of social entrepreneurial intentions was confirmed for both groups of students. Perceived desirability and perceived feasibility contribute significantly to the explanation of social entrepreneurial intentions and explain 39 % of the variance in both samples. Empathy and helpfulness explain 15 % of the variance of perceived desirability, and significant predictors for explaining perceived feasibility are entrepreneurial inclination, specific entrepreneurial self-efficacy and assessment of social capital. These predictors altogether explain 21 % of the variance in students of entrepreneurship and 49 % of the variance in students of psychosocial studies. A significant predictor for the explanation of social entrepreneurial intentions and perceived venture feasibility for the students of psychosocial studies is volunteer experience.
