The Systems of the Supreme Courts in the Nordic States. The Outline of the Problem

Summary/Abstract: The paper aims at conducting comparative analysis of the role and tasks performed by the Supreme Courts in the Nordic legal and political systems. The subject of the work is particularly concentrated on deliberations referring to the functions of the Supreme Courts in the Scandinavian states, as well as the principles of organization and functioning, on which the Supreme Courts systems are based in this European region. An essential part of the analysis covers determining of the common features and differences possible to be observed while comparing the states belonging to the Eastern and Western Nordic legal culture circles.
