Summary/Abstract: Lajos Erdélyi’s memories reveal the achievements of the entire career of this artist who is about to turn 90. His name lives on not only by his special coverages, his photographs featured in Transylvanian media, and the volumes that he authored or co-authored, but also by having brought back to life a unique collection of photographs, which are connected to the names of Balázs Orbán and Count Sámuel Teleki, and by having kept alive in his work the specific art of the old Jewish cemeteries. Every photograph has a story of its own that must not be forgotten – says Lajos Erdélyi, who is the author of hundreds of portraits of Transylvanian personalities. Therefore, on the occasion of his round anniversary, the goal of the present article is to bring to light the career of a brilliant person and the stories behind his fantastic work.
