Summary/Abstract: The Medea Association was founded in 2005 to support the research and educational activities at the Journalism Department of Babeş-Bolyai University. The main achievements of the association are the organization of conferences for doctoral students, educational programs in the field of journalism, as well as the issue of scientific journal ME.dok (Media-History-Communication). The Communication and Media Research Institute created in 2010 in the framework of the association has published several volumes of studies related to media history and actual media trends.
