Summary/Abstract: Examined is the notion of personal identity from the psychological perspective of Derek Parfit. Referring to the perception of intuition found in literature ( in works by M. Proust, A. Solzhenitsyn) the author concludes that the lack of psychological connections does not necessarily lead to loss of identity and can be described as a sequence of consecutive egos. He points out, however, that a series of the egos does not constitute an ontological position but is a way of describing versatile degrees of psychological links.
