ULQIN – AUTONOUMUS MUNICIPALITY DURING MIDDLE AGES

Summary/Abstract: In this paper is addressed the issue of Ulqin’s autonomy during the mediaeval period in which case is highlighted the importance and functions of city Council, judges, Great Council, Small Council, councilors, titles of noblemen etc. Relevant place is given to the role and importance of the Attorney, education, stamps, City statute – emblem of municipality independence as well as relations with Venice and Ragusa.
