Summary/Abstract: The issue of education financing raises animated debates on all the levels of contemporary society. There are brought into discussion bough, favorable and unfavorable arguments for public financing, each of these more or less justified. In our opinion there must be avoided the extremes by corresponding tinting of proposed solutions according to a complex of factors and situations. Whatever the promoted solution is, however, education financing systems involve a series of redistribution of cash resources in the interests of some and against the interests of others. Based on this appreciation, we decided to analyze a number of issues of redistribution through the intercession of education from the perspective of the theory of the middle voter and of the redistribution particularities under the conditions of the state monopoly on the education. The study led us to a series of conclusions concerning to the extent to which public budget allocated to the education causes a redistribution of revenue in favor of those who most need the resources and the necessity for redistribution with compliance with the economic efficiency principles and equity in the assessment/taxation system.
