Summary/Abstract: The social character of human life, especially in the modern society, is indisputable. The individual is integrated into a complex system of interactions both as a receiver and as an issuer. We can definitely say that the effectiveness of individual cooperation with its social environment is marked by his education. The social character of human life, especially in the modern society, is indisputable. The individual is integrated into a complex system of interactions both as a receiver and as an issuer. Effectiveness of individual cooperation with its social environment is marked, we can say decisive for his education. Man is inherently a potentially rational being, but his responsiveness to the environment throughout his entire life is conditioned, among other things, by the education he assimilated. Man acts on the social environment in which he manifests and, in his turn, he is under its influence. Education can be regarded as a mediator, an intermediary of the two types of relations. Given these brief considerations, through this study, we aim to highlight the complexity of the social environment of an individual, the role of education in developing relations in both ways between the individual and the environment, the possibility of using conceptual and methodological tools of economic analysis in the investigation of utility function of the individual and the possibilities of plotting the maximization of this function in various assumptions and implications of inter-generational relations in terms of education and its financing – the participation of individuals (generation) is legitimate and possible in order to support the education of others.
