Summary/Abstract: The object of this study is to identify similarities and differences between State Treasury in Ancient Rome – aerarium or fiscus, their administration and the employees. Special attention is paid to the fiscal justice and the role of the advocati fisci, as well as to the protection of the private interests in fiscal trials.
