Summary/Abstract: The aim of the research described in the present paper was experimental computer analysis of suprasegments – vowel duration, speech rate and pause (resulting from temporal voice modulation) in the newsreaders´ productions of public (Radio Slovakia, Radio Regina) and private (Radio Expres, Radio Prešov) radio channels. The obtained measurements were compared to suprasegments in speech performance of several moderators and the use of the given suprasegments was compared in the selected radio channels.
