Summary/Abstract: Economic activity of each entity requires making decisions how to engage their resources in order to maximize their benefits. One of the strategy in this regard is to diversify sources of income. The paper analyzes the degree of the financial involvement of the selected industrial companies, listed on the Polish stock market in the long and short-term financial assets. The analysis covers the period 2010–2014. The results indicate that companies apply different strategies and the involvement some of them in the financial assets is important from the point of view of the size of their assets.
