Summary/Abstract: The study deals with the research of the linguistic aspect of folklore as an object of ethnolinguistics and with the definition of the object, object and subject of research of the given discipline. The text emphasizes the idea that when examining folk genres, it is also necessary to draw attention to their characteristic features, the specificities of their origin and development. The study also discusses the integrity of traditional spiritual culture, the content unity of all genres and forms.
