Summary/Abstract: A review is given from the beginning of psychoanalysis till our days. The main research projects till 1991. that had been conducted according to model of ‘unified science’ are reported. The major research contributions and shortcomings are given and Pfeffer methodology developed exclusively for psychoanalysis is specifically discussed. Further, two contemporary researches are reported that correct the shortcomings of earlier researches due to the use of model of ‘pluralism of science’ and some new methodological innovations (for example, ‘unfolded panel’ design). In addition, the main results of two contemporary researches are given.
